It seem to me that big events are the sole reasons that compel me to write (the total opposite of what “Atomic Habits” recommends). For this entry, artificial intelligence is the big thing. Assuming this will not be the last entry before AI takes over and wipe us all after a risk/benefits evaluation of having us around, I have found multiple uses for my LLM agent of choice like assisting in manuscript reviews, polishing manuscripts for submission, slides for presentations, and more recently, an introduction online class on the use of open-source tools for observational data science research. I think I am still in control when I use it as a willing partner to develop my ideas, and I like to believe they are not contributing to the AI slop.
