Ubuntu is the belief in an universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity. It could also mean a Debian-based Linux distribution borne in October 2004. My first experience with this distribution was Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala), and I was hooked since then. It might have been a different story if Fedora, my first experience in Linuxland, would have worked “out of the box” (it does now, but it’s hard to break the habit).
